Ottawa Baby Boom Show

So I get this DM, that’s a direct message- for you non twitter folks (just join already you know you want to), from this woman whom I’ve never met but was been very supportive of my photography asking me to photography The Baby Boom Show in Ottawa on behalf of Wee Welcome.  Needless to say I was very honoured that she would even consider me for such an event but I didn’t say yes right away.  After lots of phone calls and some emails all my reservations were but to rest- I agreed to be the photographer!

Well the morning of the event I showed up with all my stuff and sitting behind the table were some of the nicest woman.  For one- the organizer of the Wee Welcome booth Sherri, who I’d talk to at length about many things- we are kindred spirits I think.  So it didn’t surprise me all that we immediately were friends.  Let me tell you this woman knows how to work a room!

I seen some of the cutest babies this weekend I had ever seen- of course not as cute as my two pumpkins’ but cute.  Some where afraid, some cried, some posed, but the majority of them sat beautifully and smiled.  I will not lie I did come home thinking- you know another one wouldn’t be so bad.  Then I seen my perfect family as I walked through the door and knew instantly- I am happy and wouldn’t want to change a thing.

I had never done a “tradeshow’ type of event before and I couldn’t belevie how tired I was once I got home.  Not to mention the state of my legs from all the up and down to do the photos.  Oh well on the up side I could sleep on Monday and I’m going to have killer thighs!
