Some New Canvases

Remember back int the days of film that excited you had when going to pick up your pictures from that roll of film you dropped off an hour earlier. Well that is the excitement I had while I was waiting for some new canvases to arrive a couple of weeks ago. As most of you know I’m a HUGE advocate for printing your pictures and Not Letting Your Kids Grow Up To Be Jpegs. Well I took my own advice as i hadn’t printed anything in a while and in a while I mean since before we moved, which is going on 8 months now.

So where did I print you ask? I used Easy Canvas this time. The contacted me a little while back about working together and after a little research (because I won’t work with just anybody) I decided I wanted to try out their services. Well after editing the images I wanted to use I headed over to their site to get the process started. LEt me just say from start to finish it took me literally three minutes to get my picture uploaded, size chosen and order placed. Yes, three minutes that’s all!

Ok so once the process was done the anxiously waiting game started. Yeah I didn’t have to wait long as I had my canvases within a week. On a sidenote the delivery man ended up stopping and chatting for a bit as my son and I were out discussing whether it really was hot enough to cook the egg to cracked open on the sidewalk an hour before. FTR it wasn’t, all that happened was we got a lot of flies which grossed me out so I made asked my son to get the hose and get rid of it. The driver didn’t think it would work either but it was soooooo hot I was sure it would work. OK back to the canvases. Once we took them inside I swear it took me longer to open the boxes than it did to place my order. Those suckers were secure which when you are buying canvases is a huge benefit so I’m not complaining I just really wanted to see them . Michaela was anxiously waiting too as there was one that was of her and Jacob and one of Jacob by himself. For anyone that says kids don’t care about photos you weren’t in my living room that day because Michaela couldn’t wait to see them. Then again she loves looking at pictures from when she was a kid as well as when Andy and I were kids. So photos do matter people – print them!

Well after finally getting the package open I fell in love with my new canvases. The only thing I would have changed was I wished I’d upgraded the depth of the canvases but that is purely a personal choice. Seeing as I’m in the midst of making a collage with these I will oder the same depth to finish off this gallery. Once the wall gallery is completed I will do a separate post and give you all the details of print sizes and everything else that you want to know.

Easy Canvas

The great news is that Easy Canvas is giving you all a chance to win your very own 8X10 ($44.71 value) canvas and it’s super easy to win. Also for all those of you that enter you will receive a 60% off code to print an image of your choice. I’m sure that you all have some amazing pictures that you’ve taken over the summer.

Good Luck to all of you!

candace_dx - That’s like asking me who my favourite child is. Who could pick? If I have to narrow it down, I’d say I’m a big fan of your beautiful me photos. I’m also partial to some photos you took of this one family in Ottawa. Where did you find such a good looking crew? 🙂

amotherworld - Must I really choose one? So many distinct blogger headshots have been photographed by you. But I must say the photos you’ve taken of your daughter are probably the loveliest 🙂

CLBuchanan - amotherworld you’re are so sweet. I do love photographing her as that’s where I get to test out my moves 🙂 As for the bloggers – I love photographing women especially the ones that tell me how unphotogenic they are. amotherworld

CLBuchanan - candace_dx OMG the one family in Ottawa were so incredible beautiful. 🙂 One of these days I’ll get you in front of my camera for a Beautiful You session. candace_dx

Effie L - I love your blog post:
“Don’t Let Your Kids Grow Up To Be Jpegs”
Hard to choose one photo, but I love the one of the little girl finishing off a freezie!
Reminds me of the summer I wish we were having right now…and not this cool weather!

MindfullyFrugal - I have just the photo from our recent vacation that I’d love to make a canvas with!
