BlogHer is here

 

I can’t believe that it is the day before BlogHer. Many of us have been talking about this for a long time now and now that it’s here the level of excitement is through the roof.

First off I need to send a huge THANK YOU to Everything Mom. You see they held a contest a while back where they were giving away 4 tickets to BlogHer and I won one. I love Michelle and Carrie Ann and although I am excited to be attending BlogHer because of them I am also sad that either of them will be there this year. They are great ladies and just fun to spend time with.

To start a great weekend I’ll be hanging at the airpot with Candace -aka @SeeMummyJuggle and Kelli- aka @KelliDaisy. the flight is at 6:30 ugh what were we thinking. Oh yeah to get to NYC as early as we could 🙂

My BlogHer schedule seemed to get full very fast, thank god for iCal to keep me organized. This is what I’ve got going on (for those not attending BlogHer keep in mind this is a 3 day conference)

• Starting my Thursday of is Blographer. Although it’s not affiliated with BlogHer it’s all about taking better photos for your blog. This I’m excited about sharing with some of my readers as I gave away a ticket earlier this week.
• then it’s off to shoot SocialLuxe Lounge – which is going to be so much fun
• after that I’m off to Style Suite to enjoy a cocktail or two and wind down.
• From there I’ll be putting my dancing shoes on and head to the Sparklecorn!
• Friday morning is some quiet time to enjoy the conference and tradeshow
• Afternoon sees me with camera back in hand and shooting some head shots for some really fab woman
• friday night there are parties that I will be attending and not shooting
• Then Saturday I’ll be photographing at Getting Gorgeous – again if you see me come say hello. chances are very high that I will hug you so consider yourself warned.
• Then Sunday I’m off to enjoy the city with my fab friend Dee aka- CocktailDeeva

I know, I know craziness. So how am I keeping myself organized you ask. With apps of course!

1. I saved every address to every party and venue including the hotel in Maps. that way when I’m out and about I just need to use my bookmarks and not have to google stuff.
2. Eventbrite – as all the party invites are done through it
3. BlogHer12 – is a great way to keep track of who’s speaking and what is going on when and where it’s happening. Don’t forget to add your own info into the contact area and mark off the sessions that you really want to see
4. Cab4Me – lets me hail a cab from my phone, shows me how long the ride will be with the estimated cost
5. Eat St – Let’s me look up restaurants and food trucks. Thanks Dee for pointing this one out
6. Air Canada- only because that is who I’m flying with so this way I can checkin for my flight, check in and make sure it’ son time.
7. WhatsApp – so I can keep in touch with my contacts that also use this app and not get charged for texting to them. I’m Canadian remember our roaming and US cell rates are crazy expensive.
