Northern Ontario

After my last post I have been talking about how beautiful northern Ontario is. My in-laws have a cottage on Manitoulin Island so I thought I’d post a few of my favourite photos that I’ve taken over the years.  We look forward to this trip every year.  I have never been anywhere that is so relaxing.  For me I love to sit and just enjoy the quiet but there are tons of things to do while visiting.  Two things that are a must the Cup and Saucer hiking trail and Bridal Veil Falls.  If you do make it to Kagawong to see Bridal Veil Falls do yourself a favor and head down the hill and pay a visit to the Manitoulin Chocolate Works.  A few years back Food and Drink magazine did a review of them and told people this place was a do not miss and I tend to agree.

If you haven’t been you really must make the trip.  What a lot of people don’t realize is the Manitoulin Island is the largest freshwater island in the world!
