A Fridge Worthy Photo

It is no secret that I’m completely madly in love with my husband. Sure he does things that annoy me and makes me role my eye- he’s my husband and that’s part of the husband duty.

To me there is a huge difference between fathering a child and being a Dad!

Andy is a great dad!

This week as Michaela was studying for yet another math test and Andy wasn’t home, he’s the math guy, so she didn’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call him. He helped her with her math over the phone. That’s pretty cool in my books. FTR- ask me where someplace is I can tell you that- Geography that’s my thing. I can also help write a kick ass speech. Then there’s Jacob who loves to read on more than one occasion Andy has read the same book, occasionally even at he same time, just so they could talk about it. Again- pretty awesome. Don’t even get me started on all the early morning for go-karting as well as the late nights they spent in the garage working on the karts.

We have moved a lot of the years and the one thing that has always remained a constant……… a picture on our fridge. I have taken lots and lots of photos over the years but this one still remains my favourite and probably always will.

As you can see it’s pretty beat up. Our son will be 17 before long and our daughter 15 so yeah the photo has been around a while. It’s from the days of film, it’s fell from the front of the fridge and slid across the floor many times but it always finds it’s way back to centre stage.

What kind of photos do you have on your fridge?

I’m also entering the picture into a contest about Dad’s so if you’d like to see other great photos of Dad’s being awesome head on over to the site.

Cheers,
CL

Kat - Your photo is beautiful. Our fridge decor has changed many times over the years, but I have a photo in mind that I need back up there. Great idea.

Autumn Lee - I don’t have a photo on my fridge like that but I have kept a card my mom wrote me on my fridge for a few years!
